My name is Nicholas Alexander D. I am an artist and freelance illustrator living in LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA. On instagram I go by @theAlxndr and I specialize in oil paintings, book illustrations, and graphic design.

originally from Hampton, Virginia I moved to Atlanta, Georgia after finishing college at Virginia State University in 2015 to further my passions and grow as an artist. After six years in Atlanta, A NAACP Award for Fine arts and establishing a name for myself I took my talents to Los Angeles to pursue my art full time. I made the decision to fully invest into my art and continually strive to get into more art galleries across the country. In the beginning it was rough. Lots of ups and downs and lessons learned, but with time I stepped up my skills and I learned how to leverage my growing social media presence to open myself up to various opportunities. I appreciate my failures throughout my career seeing how them have pushed me beyond my own expectations I set for myself. I also owe a lot of my success to my family and friends that have all poured into me and supported my art over the years.
